It doesn't matter how well another person can handle outbursts and emotional instability. Having unchecked anxiety is not being quirky, it's not an excuse.

That's super real though. Especially in east asia, lots of women feel like they are on a time limit for being pretty or desirable because there is a cultural disposition towards youth.

Dunno what the comments are going about, it really isn't that hard to understand. Noa desires to be needed. Her own self confidence issues kept making her think that Rihito only hangs out with her because he has to. He did say he doesn't feel lonely by himself and that he is just fine without friends. He also almost never is the one to ask her to hang out. So, pair that with her own thoughts and it makes sense why she was so worried. This is solid progress, because Rihito literally said he feels she is the closest to him. Which is exactly what Noa wanted so much since basically the very start.

My friend, that is like saying a tsundere and a yandere is perfect for each other because they are opposite so their personalities cancel each other out.

Well it is a manga so ofc some suspension of disbelief is required, but opposites do attract irl.
They dont "cancel" but instead compliment each other. Noa needs to calm down and Rihito needs some more color to his life. They both provide that for each other quite well, and its something that even characters in universe have pointed out.

I like the development, i find it weird people asking for them to become a couple in a few months even by now thats only been 6 months in the story, the level of attachment and distance only feels correct because of the characters personalities, i feel some people are genuinely dismissive of Noa's whole personality just because it doesnt fit their own weird worldview of a healthy relationship, the girl has become such a worrywart of her own person from all her previous bad experiences that now she believes nothing is correct about her, finding a person that not only is fine with hanging out with her but also enjoys their time with her, to her it must be the best while simultaneously giving a gut wrenching feel of not wanting to fuck up this now perfect relationship, being dismissive and saying stuff like "she should take some medicine, shes so crazy" "shes a terrible person to be with" continuously misses the point that noa is just a nice person who doesnt deserve her own loathing

Their entire dynamic is this; Nao acts out, Rihito tolerates and reassures. That's literally it. The most unrealistic character in this story is Rihito himself. It might work as a work relationship since she doesn't really act out too much during work but as close friendship? (let alone romance), that's cracked. It requires a special degree of loneliness to be able to tolerate Nao (or being an emotional blackhole with a "special" mind, like Rihito).

i feel this kind of thinking is really close minded, like saying "a person that doesnt think like i do shouldnt exist" when a person says "i love you" do you go thinking like "yeah of course you love me, i give you money, i have a good personality, i do my chores, i drive a car, of course youre gonna love me" rihito's interactions with noa has been joked to be of a parent and a child before, with a child throwing tantrums and a parent not minding those tantrums, are parents an unrealistic character to you?
