Bro got so wrapped up in his dessert fantasy he forgot that aside from the impossibility getting cocoa beans in Japan, chocolate as we know it in solid form didn't appear until 19th century. I suppose he could trade for bitter medicinal chocolate from foreign traders, but he would have to make chocolate liqeur and chocolate butter all by himself somehow.
