I can't help but think about Hyouge Mono while reading these chapters involving that tea pot. That manga is one of my favorites, and I recommend if you'd like to revisit this period with a greater focus on tea ceremony and comedy.

Now that I look back here, a big reason to why Nobunaga keeps Hisahide around is definitely because Hisahide understands him.

We've never seen Hisahide baffled by Nobunaga's worldview, right? 🤔 In fact, he actually catches up just fine and even adapts accordingly.
