I love it when I check out the comments for an emotional chapter and seeing what others think, only to see folks implying they know more about JAPANESE HISTORY than the JAPANESE AUTHOR writing a JAPANESE HISTORICAL MANGA over the course of a dozen years who has access to JAPANESE RESOURCES they don't. Can't wait to see them post their credentials :kek:

Anyways... RIP Hanbei, you were truly a real one. I feel like there were some jokes in this chapter that missed the mark though, and not because Ken is... well, Ken, but it's probably some completely untranslatable puns.

Relax, this Yasuke will probably be the Mochizuki that Ken is looking for. It could be, he's a half-Japanese hotel employee who isn't familliar with Japanese history.

If you really want to see a wimpy Yasuke, there's Nobunaga Concerto.

If I didn't know better, I'd say the author heard about the Yasuke debacle made by Ubisoft and decided to add fuel to the fire.

slow your roll, guys.

it's not like the author will make Yasuke into samurai or anything. chance are, it will go according to history.

Most of us are just poking fun at the woke controversies and historical gaslighting surrounding the character (perpetrated by Ubislop and that fraudster Lockley).

Personally, I think Yasuke's awesome. Heck, he could become emperor of Japan in one chapter if he put his mind to it!

Ubisoft made a mediocre game and you all blaming DEI for that instead. The worst is the cope that Yasuke wasn't a samurai, despite being historically known as a samurai under Nobunaga among historians. Hell, his depictions in japanese media like the Yasuke anime and Tenkaichi manga were all as one of Nobunaga's most loyal samurai.
