@Kampfarsch in the box is a photo of her and a butterfly wing, then she undergoes a transformation and becomes a silicon life with wings. I suspect she couldn't stand this shitty world and just became a silicon life to escape and become free

As far as I understood it, the stoy is told in two time frames in parallel.
The small "child" character is the earlier time and as maxibon98 said, it somehow transforms into the silicon creature of the second, later, time frame which shows the now transformed character walking throught the megastructure and escaping.
