Ok, a lot to unpack here.

1. Veena wakes up... just to let us know she's up. 'kay, I guess.
2. Yato survived impalement. That surprised me, cuz' I always assumed Adachitoka didn't really consider the OVAs canon, but I guess he really is that hard to kill.
3. Is Father drip feeding Yukine info for reals, or is he only pretending to know as much as he? I might be overthinking though.
4. Nora is cosplaying season 1 Hiyori! Fuck, that's adorable.
5. Hiyori is fainting all of a sudden. I'm assuming she's just hungry or dehydrated, since this has never been as issue in her body form before.
6. Yukine's sister (whose name is Miyaike) thinks he's still alive... oof... all aboard the SS Depression.
7. And finally... Yukine's actual name is Haruki. Nothing to add here, other than it's a beautiful name.

This is why I began reading Noragami in the first place. Gimme that drama, Adachitoka! Tear my heart to pieces!

Chief, my gut feeling is telling me that Kazuma will get absolutely shafted at the end of this Yukine ordeal. Hope it's not the case, but ya know....

@remunramu her tail-like life chord is getting weakened as time goes. It was stated earlier in the series by the God of Knowledge (the old man) that if she persist in her "double life" (going from one side to the other) she'll suffer a terrible fate, coupled with her being rather unhealthy to begin with, this is what you get in the long run.

I don't doubt that two outcomes can end up happening for the end of this. Hiyori dies and Yato turns her into his shinki, or boy Yato sacrifices his godhood (even humans and fake gods can become real ones) to save Hiyori and by some mambo jambo he becomes human somehow. Now for Yukine, he might get redemption but I'm not too sure, he might just go to the afterlife.

@remunramu to answer your question, which a lot people seems to be confused about it. You might not remember but Yato's dad sent his wolfs to hunt Hiyori a few chapter back with her spiritual cord getting damaged in the process, that's when she started to get super sick with her real body. Now that she can't assume her half-Ayakashi state, the only way for her to keep searching Yukine's whereabouts is with the help of Nora. The problem is that her body in the real world is suffering from the previous attack too, if she continues the worst case for her is dying, second worst is getting invalid.

you know, Yukine has annoyed me for a long time too, but I still appreciate that we're exploring his backstory because it's been hinted from the beginning that his is super messed up. I mean, Yato cried iirc. and I feel like introducing him as some troubled teen without anything beyond that would've been kinda gimmicky ngl, like some sort of contrived drama at the beginning. we know that shinki have a lot of trouble growing bc they're forever stuck at a certain age p much. also his backstory is probably the best to explore the god's greatest secret ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@NeroPR I think Hiyori is going to live, but is changed a bit. If she turns into a shinki that would make absolutely no sense. She'll lose her memories, unless she remembers everything except her death.

Anyone remember the nun outfit Hiyori wore in the 4-koma?
It's a concept Christians believe: that their life on this world and a life serving God are ONE and THE SAME. We've seen from Hiyori's diary and phone that Yato is becoming ingrained into her life. Long story short Yato's dad made a gamble by attacking Hiyori and lost, strengthening Hiyori in the long term.
Also once Yukine's sister can meet Yukine he'll probably calm down enough for Yato to hide the name Hayusa.

I can see how the sister has come to this conclusion. With Hiyori and Nora having some slight similarities in appearance, plus the way they have appeared, they could be mistake as sisters if you made that misconception. And knowing Yukine's true name, and then knowing her name and finding her, plus how many years have passed for her, it's easy for her to think her brother grew up and had kids one day. I wonder if they will let the lie be or tell her the truth with some minor differences.

Screw everything else (not really) except the feels that are real that there was a reason Yukine's spirit was floating around a mailbox T_T
My freaking lord a letter he never sent to his sister... why does Noragami love to tear my heart into pieces like this?!

@gzyang2006 wasn't the reason they don't reveal their life/death is because wandering spirits have a very high rate of turning into ayashiki due to the thing turning them into wandering spirits being regrets (negative most of the time) and traumatising. Them finding out about their past doesn't mean they'll turn but it's practically 100% chance.

Edit they turn because they remember their ENTIRE life when it's mentioned to them.
