Also, the author is handing out pretty insane magic, and pretending it's "bad" magic because the MC and co have no creativity. Why use gravity magic on yourself. Fire magic users aren't setting themselves on fire. There's plenty of water already, in every creatures body. Also, gravity magic should allow him to lower gravity too, rather than increase it.

In the earlier chapters, it is shown that at his level gravity magic only works on himself. It also affects thing he touches, so if he touches other people they will be affected.

I think as he gets stronger he'll get new spells.

To start, sure. But gravity also should allow him to make stuff lighter. And once it grows it should have some insane applications. Same for ice magic.


The MC who's isekaid isn't doing much thinking either. And gravity works in both ways, in theory he should be able to do insane jumps, speed up, or even fly with gravity if he lowers it enough.

Most of it's already been said and I spoiled a bit in previous chapter comments but, yeah, the subset of the story's system of magic that adventurers use (the story's magic system has a lot going on) is pretty rigid. Unless you get a new spell, you can't change the spell much.

As for what you were saying before about it being obviously op, it isn't really in this story's scaling. As this goes on, you will see some bullshit powers.
