so it ended up being a happy ending after all. i thought that maybe the ghost would lose all its memories of being a ghost when returned to physical body but it looks like he recognized him. in that case, why didn't he search for him right away after he woke up?

There's an afterword in Bomtoon which says that the ghost had to undergo additional treatment for 3 years since he was in a coma for 8 years. That's why they couldn't meet sooner. So the ending shown actually happens 3 years after they part.

I made an account specifically just to make this comment, but I have a theory about the ending. I think that because he didn't have any attachments to life when he fell into a coma, his soul left his body and he effectively "died". However, him finding love and finding attachments to life again pulled his soul back into his body because he found the will to live.

Just a theory though, absolutely beautiful story, wish it was longer...
