Only thing is, how much of this is the author and how much do the main characters have control over themselves??? Since, it seems like Reeze and Cliff aren’t fully aware of the stuff the other plans on doing.

So the author is actually exhibiting a good amount of mind control. Also, the main characters are heavily influenced by the mechanics of the original storyline, so they have no choice but to fit in their prewritten character profiles.

I'm actually sad they changed the flow of the kidnapping incident. I guess they simplified this plot point for the sake of the poor artists.
