It's not your age, I don't think. It's that you've never experienced this specific thing and can't relate. If anything, Uehara is acting far older than his age here, because he's able to shrug off something like this with "what could I expect" instead of the identity killing knife it would be to someone like him. Trying hard, doing something big, being sure it's big and important and then people mostly ignoring it or telling you they don't like it is how kids give up on things. Personally, this is my interpretation of his tears; the deep sadness of thinking he should just give up because nobody cares about what he makes being flipped on its head by Niina personally, undeniably, showing him that someone does.

The manga's been good the whole time, but these past 3 are incredible. The mirroring between the beginning of chapter 31 and the end of it, the mirroring between chapter 32 when Uehara is there for Niina and chapter 33 where she's there for him. The way 32 shows and expresses the idea of being with someone who makes you think you can do anything. How 33 effortlessly ties the idea of her love and appreciation of his work with her love and appreciation of him. They didn't even fucking have to SAY IT it's just THERE

Ifkr I'm so miffed this is going to end and we'll eventually move away from peak when they address the inevitable grief of grandma and the childhood friend. I truly, truly hope this sticks the landing for both of those, the o ly other work I've seen that did rivals aptly was senryu shoujo, where all the losing heroines were given a proper bittersweet moment to process it and move on

These last three chapters were REALLY well done in terms of portraying accurate emotions when it comes to creating something and exposing it to the world. I could see myself in quite a lot of it.
Last two chapters it was the loneliness and worries when working on it, the relief when having someone else there, the stress with a deadline...but this chapter hit me even harder with the initial hope of your creation being good only to see that it's not even noticed or at best negatively so...and then starting to self deprecate over it. I know that some may not relate, I know that some may think it's only a beginner thing...but as someone that's put music out there quite a few times as well as drawings and game projects, I felt like that almost every single time...it was very touching to read this.

I love this manga, they are both perfect for each other. They compliment each other so well that it’s rare to see such duos.

The only thing I dislike about this manga is that 1) sometimes, FMC’s (I love her btw) character is a little inconsistent. Well, not in the recent chapters but I noticed this a lot before the story hit 20 chapters. Oh well, atleast right now that problem doesn’t exist & 2) MC needs to spaz less and become more confident, hes got the skills, all he needs is the right attitude to master those skills and become a good mangaka.

Now regarding the losing heroine, Kyo-chan. I love her too so I’m gutted because we all know she’s gonna take the L. It sucks more because she’s actually a great person and her backstory was stringed at my heart. She’s also MC’s first love so I do see some drama coming because he will also be heartbroken to reject her, when the time comes eventually
