I didn't mind, he seems like a good person and I appreciate it when romance stories don't focus all of the female cast's affection on one single guyGlad for her, she found the courage to speak to others by herself
Now if one wanted to backbite a little bit, one could say that the author is already setting a 2nd dude for the heroine who’s going to lose in the endand man, after all those chapter where fmc did nothing to backpedal in order to, I assume, have the 2 female lead being at the same level with mc, that feels weird and unnecessary imo…
Thanks for the translation
Do you prefer it when they end up alone, then? And I see no reason to wait to introduce a new love interest for a secondary character until it's super convenient. That just makes it seem like the author took pity on her for making her end up alone. She isn't even out of the romantic "race" and the author's already set her up with a tertiary male character that's somehow less charismatic looking than Yume. I hate when the best girl is passed off as sloppy seconds to boring characters. Really disappointing turn of events.
I'd much prefer the harem-ending route to what it seems like we're getting. No matter how quality a series is, it never lands the sloppy seconds route. The girl who loses and her new love interest never have any chemistry. It's boring.Do you prefer it when they end up alone, then? Kind of how I feel about most harem endings. Sometimes they're pulled off well enough, but usually it's just a cop-out. Most of the time the problem is that it needs to be a genuine all-direction relationship. Not just two or more girls who like the same guy, but with questionable chemistry between them. This one isn't too bad about that part, but they're still competing for his affections, which is bad for harems.I'd much prefer the harem-ending route to what it seems like we're getting. If he got interested in her before any of that, he'd be more of a loser to abandon her. So far he hasn't seen her be interested in anyone, so he has no reason to think he should back off. But so far it's not gotten to any of that, so it's too early to tell. How does that read? Girl gets her heart broken, and the guy who had been hanging around her while she was chasing after someone else moves in to "comfort her". It makes this new character seem at best like a loser, and at worst like a creep.
Agree to disagree. I'm willing to eat my words if this new guy ends up likable and his chemistry with Shiori is fun to read. I wouldn't even be shocked if they just ended up being good friends and no romance developed. But I'm not confident. I wish Niina and Shiroi's "rivalry" had gone on for a bit longer, but it's obvious the author plans on ending it sooner than I expected.Kind of how I feel about most harem endings.
