Japan has almost nonexistent crime. It's so safe that there are many neighborhoods where the doors are simply never locked. In the most extreme cases (i think), some dont even have locks.

I wouldn't say he has no sexual drive. There has been many situations where Kimio imagines girls, notably Nozomi, and how he wasn't able to get any sleep at all on some nights because he couldn't stop thinking about her. This also hints at how often he does his "thing" in private.

For romance, that portion ended like 20 chapters ago when Kimio privately admitted his love for Nozomi on more than one occasion, obviously she'd reciprocate that love. At this point, we're just waiting for Kimio to openly admit his love rather than being honest to only himself about it.

Although it is ridiculous that he didn't just stop them from barging into his place in the first place, it's best to remember that this is also a Comedy-Slice of Life story. It wouldn't really be funny if they failed to barge into his place rather than somehow succeeding.
