I like the MC, but I have to agree with other posters—he’s useful outside the dungeon, why not just hire him to work for the guild to train newbies, scout for maps, be a liaision to the fief lord…the possibilities are endless. He’s already doing things like adjudicating disputes; hire him and make it offifcial. You can still allow him to dungeon dive while availing yourself of his other talents.

This is pretty good so far, it really reminds me of the early days of Kumo desu ga, Nani ka? before it got bland.

Presumably that's his fault; they probably made overtures but dude was too hell-bent on gaining rank as an adventurer to even consider a different career path despite sucking at it.
NGL actually, this whole 'oh he was so useful he single-handedly measurably decreased adventurer mortality' sounds pretty fucking bullshit, as does the fact that he somehow has the ear of most of the city brass but apparently is still making it paycheck to paycheck, but eh, I've read worse.

The guild should have hired him on as support staff rather than letting him risk his life. But seriously he went every day and couldn't do more than 5 skeletons a month. I can believe he thought himself looked down upon by the guild even if everyone there loved him given how society usually is about men.
Given how easy evolution is for him i have to imagine its rare for monsters to fight amongst each other or every other skeleton would be a ghoul.
