Yes, there is no other difference, in intelligence, magic, anatomy… Literally just a matter of mindset, which is not at all subjective and could easily describe people as well

Came here after watching the anime ...

So, there's been some changes, i mean in a good way ... In the manga, the time flow so fast, anime fixing it, so we could understand slowly and chronologically .. 😁

Pretty interesting touch there with the restaurant owner; indeed, adventuring within the context presented in most fantasy settings would primarily be a last resort for the desperate and a 'get rich quick' line for the foolish. After all it's functionally equivalent to enlisting as a mercenary in a country where there's an active war going on all the time.
