Well, that explains a lot about him, including his extraordinary density...
20 years later there was still someone in his heart
Maybe telling Lorraine this story is the first step to moving on

The fact that he's already undead is gonna make that reunion with his saviors a little weird

I am surprised by this chapter, it's nothing like the previous ones. The beginning of the series is intriguing but MC is a pretty undefined character. This chapter absolutely nailed down his motivations in ways that surprised me.

Haha, mithril rank. That Wilfried was a lying cheat. If he was mithril rank, the giant wolf would have lost its head, not just a piece of its foot. I'd say he might have been silver rank or he might not have been a guild member at all. He's probably going around in smaller towns and villages, building a reputation to cash in with it somehow.

I really enjoyed this arc. Rent was a mystery for so long, but now we have his whole character essentially defined now. I honestly didn’t expect much of his background, but the story revealed the answer to a mystery that did didn’t know I was seeking. It was a satisfying and moving story that adds even greater value to the story already told due to the added context. Masterful!

Yeah, it's suspicious how a Mythical Rank couldn't at least kill that wolf demon. Considering their description where they battle enemies similar to the earth dragon the MC encountered before.

yes broder. we shouldn't downplay trauma, childhood trauma at that. my guy has been fighting for his life ever since he was 5 years old. those trauma take a lot of time and trust from other people. he doesn't want it to happen to others, he has similar trauma with Goblin Slayer.
I wish him goodluck and resolution

I mean, we don't know how powerful that wolf was supposed to be. Granny Galba's questions make it pretty clear that it's not a common monster around those parts and there's every chance it's gonna turn out to be a significant milestone for the protagonist later on, so it's not gonna be a pushover.
