It feels like the author just started telling a completely different story over the last half dozen chapters. The slow pacing, exposition dumps, and this whole village thing does NOT mesh with the previous storyline.

This whole arch feels like the plot of a porn movie/hentai, to explain why the MC will be so OP and be able to teleport to other places to have sex with new women.

For me,the worst thing about this twist is that besides feelt being unnecessary, Loraine is there, listening to secrets for which there have been civil wars in previous decades.

She is a perfect stranger to the "chosen people", you can't even say that she is the mother of a bloodline heir, she is just a "friend". If they really want to finish the tradition and move on, you dont give away your secret to a scholar and a "useless vampire."
