The first one is true. I'm not sure what you mean by your second point, but I'll try to explain how the novel goes: the story starts with a main route, and once that is complete, the story diverges from the same specific point in time depending on which girl you choose. Each girl has their own ending for the story. All of them are good endings for the story. For the first 3 girls, the process/journey in which they combat the law is different, but the outcome is the same albeit with slight variations and details. However, 1 girl (the last girl you play) is considered to be the true ending of the novel. This true ending has a very core difference for its ending in contrast to the other 3 endings, and the process is basically combining the core elements of the other three processes/routes into this one for the first half of the story (roughly) and then adding a lot more towards the second half of the story, thus making the true end route a lot longer than the other routes. Basically, there are 3 good endings and 1 true ending.
