Trimming my Holland Lop's toe-knives was typically uneventful though I usually had someone else hold him. He was easy to pick up (for me anyways) but he would often flail when being put back down so I had to make sure to hold his hind scrubthumpers when setting him down.
One time... I was putting him down through the top of his cage and didn't have his legs in my hand. He flailed and kicked a bit and i took a freshly cut nail across the back of my hand just inches from my knuckles. I still have a part of the scar from that years later.
