The order is indeed reversed. We're viewing him from the front, so the thumb ought ot be clearly visible with how opposable it is to the rest of the fingers, yet it looks like Giba has accidentally drawn the hand as if he's facing away from us.

EDIT: ... Wait, now that I look closer at it, I can see the line of a pocket that his thumb appears to be tucked into. Dammit, Giba, that's too subtle!
