Like seems like the smartest choice would just been like yeah we fucked up since sure it would make you look bas but this way ofndoing it only make you look worse

A refreshing take on the isekai genre frankly. Everything about MC's design and clothing to the onmyouji stuff is very reminiscent of early 2000s era series so its frankly a breath of fresh air right now lmao.

I quite appreciate how calm MC's demeanor is too after returning from war as he's matured quite a bit, and the conflicts are quite a bit more tame here compared to what he was facing in the other realm. Far too often the isekai returner ends up feeling like they haven't changed a day since they left and ends up still playing the doormat which just blows to read.
