Nice to see their dynamic isn't as one-sided as it first presented.

Oda is clearly overbearing, but no one is entirely blameless, and Akechi bending over so much makes sense, but it absolutely would mean any potential future for them would be doomed ro toxic failure.

So that moment of clarity for Oda is a good thing, in my book. Shame it was immediately interrupted, but even that offered a moment of change for Akechi, and, well.

That lead to plenty of comedy, which ain't a bad deal.

Given the picture on the phone depicting the two, my guess is that's Oda Nobunaga's wife, Nohime.

So BASICCALLY ODA ADMITTED HE DID THIS AND THAT AND THIS AND THAT BUT STILL BLAMING AKECHI UNDER THE PRETENSE OF "WAR"?!
................... that's funny if he felt that way instead of Mari feeling that. I mean, Mari is gossip-free at that point (only Akechi), ironically it feels like it his soul and ego feeling how he's painted in history lesson.

That's good that she could cry just because inside Oda feels desperate to 'clear his name'.
