Y'know, he acts like a cat . . . but not a generic cat. There are cats and cats. He's definitely on the mellow end of the cat spectrum. Not like my cat at all, but somewhat like one of my parents' cats.
(My cat is a skittish inquisitive dainty black cat who normally only admits to wanting to be patted in front of one person at a time--if someone else comes along she jumps up and is all "No, this isn't what it looks like!")
