Man, what an excellent chapter. Saying one's feelings indirectly can make for such a beautiful scene, and Shion does that perfectly, especially after seeing that Kiki doesn't want to hear her true feelings. Seeing her memories play out as she sees her first love's bittersweet ending really struck my heart.

The flower metaphor is tropey but works well here, making it clear that Shion's feelings will never be requited... though she's known that since the actual beginning.
