That's how Leanan Sidhe works. She's a muse fairy, she inspires greatness upon artists but they also slowly go mad and lose their vitality, eventually dying young. She was the gaelic explanation for the "tortured artist" trope, which existed even back then.
Depending on depiction she can be outright vampiric feeding, or it can be an unintentional side effect from her love making it a tragic thing. Since here she's a monster type I assume she wants a real hunk to love for real, but can also use her power on overdrive intentionally as seen here.
