I can't understand an attachment to a home. Maybe because I've moved around my whole life, never living in one location for more than 5 or 6 years on average, and sometimes as few as 3.
Well, I partially take that back, now that I think about it. I am attached to my grandparent's old home. Unlike me, they never moved once they got that house, more than half a century ago. I was thinking of buying it for myself, but was dissuaded out of doing so. Which was the right choice in retrospect, because that house needs so much work done on it. Luckily, it stayed in the family after my grandfather's death, because my cousin and her husband bought it.
In any case, I must say... the mother of those girls must be fucking awful. It can't be legal to just throw away your daughters like that. And it looked like they had just one bag of clothing and toiletries with them, held by the older sister, Hotaka? Not even 3 suitcases with wheels? Are the rest of their clothes going to be shipped later? What about any non-clothing possessions they had? Call child protective services on that damned woman. Get the courts after her ass.
Their dad is a bit of douche too. "Surprise, son. You have three half-sisters." Fuck you, old man. *shakes fist*
I can understand MC's viewpoint, since I live alone too, and I very much enjoy it. I'd be pissed if suddenly half-siblings showed up at my door expecting to live with me and disrupt my awesome bachelor life.
