This isn't a defense of him but I think he is being genuine, he's just COMPLETELY emotionally illiterate to the point the usual common sense rules of basic social etiquette are a foreign language to him; he's not doing any of this out of malice but sheer ignorance. Basically he's a fucking dumbass.

I can agree that his acts to repair his relationship are genuine, but that doesn't just excuse his outright dickish behavior from the first chapters and throughout, the constant remarks of how "Oh, this ____ would fit Caroline pretty good haha." while in the presence of his Fiancé is beyond being just a Dumbass. If his friends hadn't taken notice of the rumors between him and his Fiancé, I have doubt that he would've done anything at all to fix his relationship. The fact that he needs his friends to point out what's wrong in his relationship and tell him what to do instead of him checking in on his own Fiancé just has me wanting to strangle the dude.

i hope the manga keeps going. if they flesh out the story, it can go on for a bit. i've never seen a series with this plot before, so they could do a lot with it. he doesnt even need to keep chasing her forever. he could just settle for friends or include nicole with her hanging out with caroline. or caroline could get more friends or a different love interest. rn i could see it getting stale if nothing else changes, though. they could just add slice of life of nicole enjoying her life in different ways though. i noticed the series kinda is focusing more on the guy than her rn.

You know, there is always the possibility that they pulled a reverse card on us. There's tons of manga that are teasers for novels out there, but this time maybe the novel is the teaser for the manga...

Love that the girls are all rallied behind Nicole.

The key point that they all understood is that, even though there were nothing untoward between the Keios and the princess, the neglect was still real.

And what Keios asked the girls to help him with? Props to the author for keeping him true to his character. He thought he could repair their relationship by love bombing her. Which, IRL, is also another red flag.

The girls being MVP especially the black haired girl that started as villainess.
