Besides, that's a completely different issue. This whole mess is all about whales for eating. The main problem is that if they're hunted they can go extinct, and yet not a single conservation proposal was ever made. It's all just "there's still plenty of them anyway it's ok".

The author dared to always whine and complain about pollution and factories dumping waste because it affects the taste of fish and vegetables, but all the whale arguments are completely lame.

All the cooking mangas I read seems to stand on the whale slaughters side when it comes to this controversy, had there been any cooking manga that actually stand on the other side back there though?

I will shut my brain and accept this as a "this is how things happen in Oishinbo world". The same manga who polish their rice manually(I believe the famicom adaptation even said the chef do it one by one so they have even shape if I recall it right)

Thank god it's over. It's really shocking how much of a snob the author is and how much he advocates for doing things the hard way, for doing things the right way, and from never shying away from the truth... until it comes to some regressive personal belief he holds.
