For a bit of trivia, I'd like to talk about the keyword used throughout this chapter, 'sunao' (素直).
In most cases, it would mean something like 'straightforward', 'unembellished', 'direct'. However, it also carries the implicit meaning of 'gentle', 'non-confrontational', 'accepting'.
These meanings aren't generally associated with each other in English, so this chapter proved a bit tricky to translate. I essentially had to detach from the 'keyword' of the chapter, and go with situational context to determine what word fits best.
'Accommodating' fit best for the overarching story, but you'll also notice a bit of fudging when they talked about milk being 'nourishing' (also 'sunao'), or at the end, when Mrs. Arakawa couldn't be 'direct' (also 'sunao') in gifting Yamaoka a cushion.
Hopefully it still read well.
