More awkward than uncomfortable. This is how many mothers (especially one who is single mother) act to her elementary school children. Spoiling them to hell. And our mc here accept that, just like a normal elementary schoolboy, as he actually still take a bath with his mother before she transforms. He just feels awkward because her mom change into his age. It's not sexual tension or anything.

The mom is weird for easily accepting this but that's it IMO. Just imagine being in his position, an elementary schoolboy who still dont even interested in girls, suddenly having a mom who really spoiled him, turn into a girl his age. Awkward as hell.
