Yeah, I don't fully buy that she isn't a believer of the Goddess. Chicka prayed every day at the Goddess' statue for over a decade before receiving her housewife job class and still does so every day.

She may say she doesn't believe, but that only means she is in denial.

Did she ever say she didn't? it was the other person who said she was a non believer, right? She did pray everyday at the statue b/c it healed her but maybe their specific use of that word is someone actively associated at the church rather than a 'normal' citizen who's still religious

I saw people joking that the author will only show him at the very end of the story.

Hopefully the manga version changes that and shows him, even if in flashbacks at least.

The novel went on hiatus last year, in May, at chapter 87. The first volume of the novel was published by Kodansha on December, 26th. Yuko began to update again the novel, adding a chapter every day from December 18th to 31st, reaching chapter 101. There have been no updates this year, so far.

I think the husband is only a shadow figure that supports the fact that she has two children and she doesn't need to look for a romantic relationship anymore. The title is "Mom Adventurer...", not "Wife Adventurer...", so the the series probably will focus in her motherly relation with her children (and maybe also with the younger members of her team). It is possible that some readers drop the series when they realize that the husband is not appearing (and not even required) in her adventures.

it is also a lighthearted/wholesome comedy even if there might be serious moments so maybe the author didn't wanna give her a sad backstory like 'husband died in the war/service as a knight/soldier'
