where was it confirmed that she picked the MC for her to share with the daughter? we know she was fielding marriage candidates, but we still dont know much about their actual motives.

was hoping for a bigger bonus chapter since thats when we get the most backstory. still glad we got to see this, and to see that she actually loved her (mothers) husband. but thats just adds to the mystery of why she is doing all this and how she got her daughter to sign up for it.

Since she's scouting people in their 30's (which is presumably her own age) and her own daughter is a high schooler it feels safe to assume 15 - 18.

there are years separating from when the mom first started dating the MC and him meeting the daughter (she was in middle school), and more years before they move in together, which is where the story starts (her 2nd year of high school)

I mean, we know her plan. She can't have kids, so shes making her daughter bear their child on her behalf. Maybe that was the plan all along, for the daughter to be the mother, and she is the grandma.

if she wanted her daughter to be a surrogate, there are much easier ways. my brothers wife couldnt bear any more children after her first. so they took his sperm, her egg, and had my stepniece (17 at time of discussion, 18 for procedure) bear the child. i remember the conversation the family was having around xmas and all of us were really happy the daughter (my step niece) was willing to bring the child to bear. i think they also paid her like 100k or something so she was pretty happy to get a jump start to life. anecdotal i know but its not as weird to talk about or do as one would think.

well the point of this story is more messed up and just targeting someone into a marriage versus even just willing to have her daughter hook up with random strangers through twitter like some sugar daddy stories have

Tho it would be interesting to read a josei series about someone determined to be a mom despite being single or so/having a kid of their own or whatever (i'm sure there are movies like that and such)
