Man finds what appears to be child claiming to be from another world sleeping in the dungeon master loot of a high level dungeon. And then questions her origin.
Fair, but as a highly experienced Gatherer and first prince of a relitively powerful nation, you would think he would have access to some rather high level and esoteric information sources. And yet he chooses the alchemist granny in the town he based out of as a new Gatherer.
Not that I don't understand the clichés about seemingly harmless, old retired monsters hiding out in obscure locations, but one would think he could have just asked a court scholar and gotten the same information. It's not like he needed an additional layer of security. The King, his father, already knows Nano's origin story as told by her, as would likely half the palace staff by the end of their stay. So other then another perspective, did we really need granny here to tell us about otherworlders and where they come from?
