If I knew this is a supernatural story, I probably wouldn't have written what I did in the comments of the first chapter. I reckon the pig tail is no allegory for anything like the translator claimed, but it's in fact some witch trait. Like the dude's ancestors made a deal with the devil for powers, but got a minor demon's tail in return. Possibly he would lose his powers if the tail was cut off?
