Funny thing about the wyvern. It could still be alive seeing it was intact and all but looking at how it crashed on the wall, I would say that the rider is 100% dead.

tbh I feel bad for the Wyvern. Controlled by a puppet master, who is controlled by an idiot, forced to die. Sad, like police dog.

Considering the author went out of his way to mention that a puppet mage controls the Wyvern, I think its quite likely its going to be alive and end up as "loot" for MC´s resident puppet mage.

with dragons its usually like 70% likelihood they wont be used as generic cannon fodder. meanwhile 9 out of 10 wyverns are just that, and the last one is an author not knowing the difference between wyverns and dragons.

I can't nor won't respect anyone that says that a wyvern is a dragon...

What makes a dragon a dragon is a very debated topic, so... I'm gonna give it a pass.
Personally I would group them as "lesser dragons" or "drakes" and not full-blown dragons.

That said, going by the English Oxford Dictionary, which basically is the semi official English dictionary.
Then a Wyvern is a (type of) dragon.
