I think it's a reference to someone who tried to lure him away, but I'm not certain enough about Japanese mythology to be sure. At least I'm fairly used to "not stray from the path" in several other instances.

Also jeez, I miss when the sister was more of a serious character. The author should have resisted making her a constant horny brat.
This title is chock full of really thoughtful details that make this story different and deeper on some level than most other "fox" stories. It then adds almost as much Stupid to round things out.
