Technically you do want to explain all options and possibilities before you get a consent signed, but it's not even that early a delivery and there aren't any other serious risk factors. The doctor made it needlessly tense by making it sound like a trolley problem.

I get what you mean - I also don't remember (so long between chapters, don't really care for the manga enough to go back to re-read stuff ) how premature her labor might be. 2 weeks maybe NBD, more could be a different story.
Also, to be more of a downer, preeclampsia is strongly tied to the mother's weight (and weight gained during pregnancy), the author likes his ladies thiccc so there's certainly an increased chance of complications due to that

I think it is not that the baby is too early to be born but that there is a possibility that it was triggered due to some complications instead of the normal process. The chances are likely tiny but the clinic needs to get their bases covered so they can do their job. A comment in another site expressed a similar experience, everything went fine but they had to sign for the possibility that something could go wrong and the procedures that will be taken.

in the worst case of delivery & childbirth scenario. It's the usual sorta mom disappears, dad paces around, Dr comes out, everyone goes into the room, happy babby, everyone is clapping and saying Congratulations to Shinji.

In all these years you are the first person who made me think about pregnant Shinji. I hope you are proud of that
