Natural English would have it as "T-The number of people has increased..."; there are also other possible sentences using different words, but I don't know if it would fit the original Japanese text (which I have no idea what it is), and I lean more towards faithfulness to the source (within reason, of course; e.g. "thieving cat" is good as a general translation of dorobou-neko, but sometimes "cat burglar" is contextually more fitting).

@MarqFJA87 Thanks Marq! so it's "rear" hmm, I spelled it wrong xD Whenever I'm unsure of how to build a sentence, I fall back to the key point of it which in that case "number of people" ( thanks for the correction )!

Speaking of "rear", I just discovered via Wiktionary that "rare" does have a sense as a verb with the same meaning, only it's because it's a US spelling variant of "rear". I'd still go with "rear" because that's the standard, international spelling.
