@SSJR2 i agree he left out so much stuff and so many characters out that it does felt axed, for example from "Shiki wo Taberu Onna" we get to know that Asuna gets married, but despite that the manga dedicated to showing the life of the Ashitaba family didn't even got to show her partner on the epilogue, the aunt moved out of the house at one point too, but why? did she got married too, or did her novels start selling, what happened to the dad did it die? we also didn't got to see Wakamiya and her child, was her child Ma-kun?, also last time we saw them Mu-kun was a househusband getting ready to finish his university studies and Hinata was working for her dad, but 20 years later both of them are attending the house, how are they sustaining themselves? , but the worst is we didn't even got a name for the youngest Ashitaba sister, she almost didn't survive childbirth she was way quieter than Subaru, and we didn't even got a name.

For a slice of life it left way too many questions open for all the drama it put near the end, i think they gave him 3 chapters to wrap it up and end it. And seeing how the next project he went to do is a swingers cuckolding manga, it feels like he didn't took that axe all too well.

@SquigglesJP get your shit together man, Subaru is a girl, and she will grew into one hell of a woman.

@Doomroar Apologies, it's been months and months since I've last read Ashitaba and I totally forgot she grew up into such a fantastic lady.
In the RAW, they didn't specify a gender so I went with "he" instead. My bad, I should've gone with "them" or better yet, since we know her name, "Subaru"!

@Doomroar Yea i definitely feel you on that. I got so many questions like that too and most of all wanted to see/know:
- Auna, her grown form, how she found love and marriage (and her tsundere reactions to it).
- if the dad lived. That should have been important.
- See grown-up Asahi, how she looks, and her relationship with them. That's the youngest daughter's name by the way. She did actually get a name but i get how people missed it cause it was just offhandedly mentioned in the final chapter.
Anyway, the series definitely feels axed and I hope it fills some answers in Okusan and maybe another spin of.

Also, it's hilarious how you said he didn't take it well with the new series lol. It does feel that way coming from a heavily vanilla guy to take that shift. Hopefully, they didn't pressure him to switch it up after the other series got axed.


@SquigglesJP sorry to ruin it but those thicc cheeks arent hers, they're for Hinata's evolved form lol. Still great cheeks though and at least you can memorize that Subarus thicc chest instead.

@SquigglesJP I appreciate all the translations you do, you have picked up a lot of manga I like reading. But PLEASE, I'm begging you, stop doing what you did on the last page. There is no point to it. Translate things to English.

@SSJR2 so she had a name! i completely missed it, yeah it would have been great to see Asahi 20 years later, double so seeing how hard she had it as a baby.
I think Ashuna just bullied someone into marrying her, or maybe she changed after taking care of Subaru for a while, speculation is all we can do.

It is such a drastic change in genres, you can't help but bee suspicious.

okusan is absolutely deformed now. it's honestly horrifying. Look at the first chapter and look at this. Yeah she's supposed to be fatter, but it's done very poorly.
