I'm hoping they don't tone down the gore. The manga is already a step down from the LN. Both in gore and in characterization.

dang i gotta look up the LN then. This story has an original and unique style, mixing in with body-horror, gore, and some lovecraftian elements, but the writing in this manga leaves something to be desired.

EDIT: I'm currently like 1/3 through the first chapter of the LN, and holy hell i have to say that while I like this manga, it is not a good adaptation; the source is clearly superior!
