It's mostly a joke...it's what WILL suggested Haru to do in the previous chapter(s) to assert dominance, I guess. What will Haru do, at this point? He certainly wants to kill his father, and for good reasons (he wanted to assassinate him to get insurance money and to get rid of a hikkikomori), but he didn't say anything about his mother. Only that he regretted injuring her in the past.
