I'll explain.
I have always read in the genre omegaverse manga that the alpha were not only males but also women, the same for beta and omega.
And it has always been specified that there were three genders, namely alpha, beta and omega.
Now I understand that mangakas are different but in this case it doesn't make much sense to add something that was already obvious. 😅
For this reason it seemed like a mistake, I thought it was a translation error but in fact as you said you are the mangaka who decided to add an obvious specification.
