"victim blaming" sure sounds like what I'm doing when in reality I analyzed his situation and can easily tell he only has himself to blame for his situation. This guy is at his peak in terms of where he is in life and he acts like the way he acts. He is boring as been described and boring guys tend to get cheated on. It's not right but it's reality.

God it amazes me people love to throw that retarded term around and act like that's a gotcha when it's not. Your feigning personal responsibility.

Don't Japanese men get cheated on a lot because they work around the clock (not necessarily even including the obligatory afterwork izakaya visits with coworkers), while the women often are bored housewives with too much time in their hands? A less "boring" husband might naturally do the cheating himself.

Anyway, if the dude avoids likely cheaters by being too boring even for a gold digger, maybe it's a good thing. Naturally we now have the best route for him in the plot, but otherwise he might have needed to switch to some other methods. He was obviously only using services meant for those seeking excitement. Because let's face the reality: a record number of Japanese men are, dispiritedly or perfectly happily, staying single without even a single sexual/romantic relationship ever to their name. So, women with exceedingly high expectations may only find playboys that have aced the services for less than honourable purposes (might even be already married men). Conversely, there should also be plenty of honourable and serious women available due to a lack of husband candidates.

Well, this is all just theoretical talk based on what I've learned of Japan. I haven't ever lived there.
