I was about to say, this one could have used a time-skip final chapter, showing married life, the little quirks still being there but both of them having matured and gotten used to life together. Kids maybe as well.

I took it as everyone interpreted it is as the equivalent of "living in his parents basement" when the reality was more "no they live in my upstairs". Having a good sized debt is also a frequent red flag for a lot of people. The mortgage might be all above board but in anime land it could be just waiting for a visit from your friendly neighborhood Yakuza.

Shame this silly little series didn't do better, I can understand the demographics just not being there though. NGL my heart melted a little bit in this last chapter with the two of them preparing a meal together.
