I appreciate the author showing Arisa's inner thought when dealing with stubborn and pushy people.

Oh look a forgettable scumbag, moving on
You know, the author of “gimai seikatsu“ makes a great point when it comes to this idea of writing, we usually label “the guy who’s not the mc but is interested in the heroine” a bad guy subconsciously, and while a lot of authors try to paint it that way for simplicity’s sake, but love/like isn’t a crime and we can’t fault one party for having such feelings.
usually those people are ordinary guys who legitimately like the heroine.

You don't have to talk shit to other ppl you doesn't even know personally if you like someone, that's just unreasonable jealousy.

Also i could understand if the other person (Arisa in this case) trust her brother in law, but she's totally feeling uncomfortable here. And we alrdy learn in the first place that her "supposed" family are scumbags to begin with (except for the father), why should we feel sympathy for someone that forced their own self rightous opinions on others?

I’m not telling you to feel sympathy for him nor did I use my example with this character in mind specifically, I just wanted to point out this trope that makes watching/reading these kinda stories a little toxic (example: guys hitting on girls trope) they don’t need to be antagonistic… also the only one rn who’s treating her mindfully is her step sister, the father is just as bad as the mother and brother, he’s even guilt tripping her into taking this matter (engagement) seriously
