The title is a reference to the book/movie of the same name, which is thematically similar. They both are less about the specifics of the apocalypse, but how people choose to spend their time when they know they're all going to die soon.
But it's surprisingly boring for it's concept. It's mostly character drama, which isn't bad, but I didn't find it particularly compelling drama. Like Kiichi/VS felt like a refinement of some of the ideas in The World is Mine, Spunk feels kind of like a refinement of this. As always, Arai's visuals are great. He alse gets kind of surreal in this one, which is cool, though it's not as surreal as KISS.
I also changed it from Completed to Hiatus, but you might consider it Cancelled. It's unfinished, but in the afterword of volume 3 Arai says that he'll finish it some years from now (well, from 2016). He also says to make fun of him if he doesn't, which sounds like he doesn't fully believe he will. He might have made a more recent statement on it's status.
