No, these are most likely based on cryptic stories on the Japanese web. Little short stories where a single detail is just a bit "off". You can find a bunch on the "Saya in Underworld" blog, they can range from kinda creepy to honestly pretty silly.

You don't HAVE to read the info dump. It's an answer key for people who can't figure it out, it's not part of the "story". I appreciate that this includes that page purely on principle because I've seen some where even the translator is left guessing. I think the answers are typically more obvious in this manga because it's limited to 4 panels so the clues are right in your face, but it's just nice to have the confirmation.
