But I guess we have this seemingly long-running story exactly because he's the complete opposite of this.

Here comes the choices. This time there's no "maybe later" cop out option, forcing this coward to actually decide. Surprisingly he made a choice that helps him reach his goal this time. So Saki is apparently winning, but at the same time it's also sad because he only chose her after getting cornered like this.

I guess we just get to watch him fumble even more opportunities at the warehouse instead of a cafe...
