it's not the sisters fault, it's their parents. i mean, i dont condone siblings favouritism, but the sisters are the ones on the short end of the stick. imagine getting caned just because you pinched your little brother (pinched okay, not hit), i would hate him too.

@sheepdoge thank you, she accepted the scholarship and ranaway, thanks to my grandpa she had some money for herself to settle in the dorm but the rest of the living cost during her college years came from her scholarship and part time jobs. The most ironic thing I usually see is that the daughter in middle class to rich house hold would end up succumb to these thoughts and do everything to please their parents for love. His sister became a doctor to please the father and obviously all the other sisters as well since they still have the option to sustain the good life they are having now, but the lack in mental and self worth is still there, either way they are still trapped in their parent's cage. I'm glad the chef still adore his sister in the end, he understand their side and decided to not follow the family and being his own person is a very brave act.

@Banhchuoi that's rather inspiring that she persevered and found her own happiness like that . i at first didn't like the chef cause i saw him as a hindrance between gong and tak's relationship (which already has a lot of obstacles) but i find i really like him, and this i think is why. he could have just accepted the cage that was made for him, it would have frankly been relatively easy, (at least as far as having the right connections and the backing of his family) but he chose something that no doubt drove a wedge between him and his parents, which in a way probably validated the achievements of his sisters.

Sometimes I wonder why people decide to reproduce. There are so many instances of bad parenting in this story that are still causing problems for their children even as adults. And nobody’s happy here. Neither the parents nor the kid. It’s ridiculous.

I don't like how the author doesn't continue where she left off. The previous chapter ended with the stalker spraying something but we still don't know what that was about. They did this many times. I checked the chapters several times if I skipped one in between. I really enjoy the series but this thing is really putting me off. Anyway, thanks for the consistent and high quality releases, Cinnamon Roll Scans!

Generational sexism is so fucked up. If they were treated equally as children they could have had a good sibling relationship, the hospital would probably stay in the family (chef guy obviously doesn't want to go the medical route but sister does), and everyone could have been happy. But no. Because women can't inherit at all and men must carry on the family trade (and get treated like a golden child in the process). Why make things harder and more bitter for all parties?
