I can see where Yooil's coming from. Growing up with parents like that, I'm sure that more than anything, she wants stability and security in her life. I'm sure that with her low self-esteem—despite her subconscious feelings—she doesn't even consider dating Mooyi to be in the realm of possibility, which is why she answered like that—because she didn't think he could possibly give someone like her the undivided love that she wants, so he's not her ideal type. I mean, heck, she's not even sure that their friendship is real and not a fleeting fancy of his!

"you've been acting like you're living alone" she is though??? both literally and figuratively because you told her to do whatever she wants with her life when you got your "man" back. the previous commenters are right, her desire to have a normal man is due to her parents being the way they are and having a warped relationship. she just wants someone that won't stress her out with nonsense like her parents do :(

I feel so bad for her :( I wish she would just cut off contact with her parents, but I know she can't

you know i didn't really think much of the heroine at first but i think she really does have some depth. it might be because i've been really relating to her situation and her thoughts

i personally have always been fond of "normal". to me, it is not a negative thing. it is comforting
