I get that her friend was trying to be realistic but I feel like she was being too harsh without even knowing anything
Thanks for the update!

Chef-nim gives me such manipulative vibes 😭 I hope I'm reading too much into it!
But I want Yoo-Il to take the manager position!!! Think of all the potential lovey-dovey moments that could accompany such a scenario <3

I feel for gong yoo-il. I don't know if Chef-nim's opinion is the right decision but tbh I agree with it. It's a more realistic and reliable option

Oh please, Chef guy doesn't have her best interest in mind. He just wants to keep her away from Moo yi.

Thanks for the translations!

Man the friend was pretty harsh... like no need to put it that way...
Also what's with that other waitress? She's starting to get stalker vibes with how she's repeatedly keeping tabs on Chef and Yoo-il.

Thanks for the update!

When it comes to reality checks I know I'm the one dishing them out to my friends most of the time but I only do so if I know the circumstances my friend is in. Yoo-Il's friend doesn't know jack and her giving those remarks just makes her look jealous of our girl. Who does she think she is huh???

And those reporters I swear... I'm guessing Chef is gonna introduce himself her boyfriend or something to remedy the sitch

Thank you for the chapter!

I don't know if I'm too much of a dreamer, but I believe that If Yoo-il really wants to work as a writer in the show business (as she said she wanted to write a script for Moo-yi to act) she should take the job at managing and make some networking in the meantime! Just go ahead and stop half assing your career.

Dude, I'm so frustrated. I'm frustrated that she is misunderstanding the whole situation with Moo-yi. Like, I get it, he's a celebrity, therefore, it seems like a crazy or even impossible situation for him to care about you in any capacity beyond your "temporary" friendship BUT is it really? Honestly, aren't you just overthinking it and forcing yourself to "calm down" and have a supposedly "rational" response and "rational" train of thought because you're too scared to believe in the other (more likely) possibility? I really wish people could be honest with themselves and just accept having dreams and hopes that might not be the most rational/logical thing in the world. No one should be able to hurt you or deride you for having idealistic dreams. There's nothing wrong with having them! Worse comes to worst, it isn't/doesn't turn out how you think. But at least you wouldn't have hemmed and hawed, wasting your time, AND you won't regret later on not pursuing what you clearly want/hope for. I get y'all don't wanna get hurt, but for f's sake, just GO FOR IT. ROAR!!!! Also, grow a damn backbone girl and just follow what you want to do, what you feel, all of that. You don't need to apologize for it. You don't need to doubt yourself at every second. Decide what you want, decide what you want to do and just DO IT. You get affected and influenced too easily grr...
And your friends? *sigh* I get that you have "good intentions" and "don't want her to get hurt/go down the wrong path" or whatever, but who are you to put down someone else's dream? Who are you to say that it's impossible for them to pursue? Who are you? What right do you have? And besides, yes, she might be poor, yes, she might not have the most relaxed life or whatever, but she's managing AND she's pursuing her dream and isn't that so much better FOR HER?? Then, this most recent thing with the "it's impossible for you to be with him because he's a celebrity thing"... again, WHO ARE YOU TO SAY THIS?! You don't know the situation. Don't make your generalized statements. Hush. (Also, celebrities are still people?? Albeit they have a unique set of experiences, but still??)
I've gone a little off-topic and all over the place there, but there's just too many frustrating points.

The friend is dumb as fuck to be honest. Yes celebrities are people as well. There is nothing that magically prevents them from liking non-celebrities. The crown princess of Sweden married a personal trainer and I'd argue that's a much bigger difference in status.

Thank you for the lovely upload.

I think Yoo-il friend is only saying what Yoo-il [and most people] believe. Also Moo-yi dating isn't a simple thing, therefore it makes it harder for bring a "average" person into his world requires more consideration.

The Chef's gave Yoo-il solid advice, but it is tainted because he does not seem to have Yoo-il best interest at heart. He seems to want to have her around because of her relationship to Moo-yi. I think the Chef has a better idea of how important Yoo-il is to Moo-yi than Yoo-il does.

The chef is right, but I just can't seem to trust him. I can't read him so he lowkey scares me lol.
Honestly, the situation is complicated and I hope things will settle down soon.
I have a feeling that a lot of drama is gonna start though 😭

I really dont like that girl. Grrrr

Chef is stating facts. I am suspicious of him, but maybe his ulterior motive is really just he's interested in her?
